Each Winfield security officer is carefully selected and screened. A thorough investigation is conducted into each candidate’s background. A profile is then composed to determine an applicant’s potential for performing sensitive security responsibilities. Winfield goes beyond state-required fingerprint searches. In addition to previous employment and character verification, we require drug-screening for every applicant and offer a series of suitability and integrity exams based on the officer’s potential assignment. Training

Winfield Security Corporation requires that all our personnel participate in a training program which will meet or exceed all mandated training requirements of each state and local government.

Pre-Assignment Training

This consists of instruction and video presentations presented at the certified Winfield Training School by one of our company training specialists. Customized Training

Winfield develops, in conjunction with client management, a comprehensive site-specific training program and post orders, which include all subjects specifically related to the client’s facility and security requirements.

Examinations

Understanding of the subjects outlined above is measured by an examination (written or demonstrative) and documented in each employee’s personnel file.

Continuing Education

Training does not stop after the initial classroom and on-the-job sessions. It is ongoing. To ensure complete familiarity with changing client specifications, certain training areas that are critical to each facility’s operation are repeated at various times throughout the year. Our supervisors assess each security officer’s job knowledge, and working with the client, determine areas where supplementary training may be required and ensure that new procedures and policies are fully comprehended by our security officers.Workshops on various topics, such as advanced report writing, are also offered as a refresher. Continued training is also conducted during field inspection visits as well as through our monthly training bulletin and quarterly Winfield Report.

Supervision is an essential component of any successful security operation. Our emphasis on supervision is a key factor in our quality control program and impacts directly on all facets of service delivery.In our business, where Winfield’s security officers are charged with the responsibility of protecting both lives and multi-million dollar facilities, supervision must take on many dimensions.

Quality Control

Winfield performs routine inspections using its field supervisors. Field supervisors are first level management personnel with the authority to make on-the-spot corrections, interact with our clients and ensure that their specifications are met. Our field supervisors perform inspections on a frequent, unannounced basis, and provide reports detailing results to both Winfield management and the client.

Contingency Force

Whether it’s a company stockholder meeting, crowd control at a sporting event, a nationally televised awards program or an emergency situation at your facility… Winfield is ready. Winfield maintains a contingency force at all times to meet special client needs. Selected personnel are cross-trained at various client facilities and periodically supplement regular staff. Our 24-hour Operations Center can respond rapidly to last minute requirements with both the necessary staffing and equipment.
